Our Impact

The 19 local CASA programs around the state proudly serve all 36 counties in Oregon.  As their daily operations solely focus on getting every child in foster care an advocate, we (OCN) are here to support and advocate for the programs needs and provide additional, critical services that leverage, promote, enhance, and unite the collective mission of serving all children.

Special Projects

We spend countless hours researching, developing, and assessing projects that support and promote CASA work.  Below are some recent highlights of this work.

Vintage Wood Clocks

Since 1987, CASA presence in Oregon has undergone many points of navigation from inaugural statute to legislative activity to build our capacity and sustainability to serve all children.  This timeline shows the steps accomplished to date and we're continuing to work on more to meet our mission.

Judge and Gavel

CASA advocacy takes place predominantly through the courts where volunteers share important information on behalf of the child's best interest.  In 2024, we surveyed judges around Oregon about how CASA work was implemented, received, and utilized in the courtroom.

Children in School Bus

We're proud to be one of the 135 nonprofits that collaborate with Our Children Oregon to highlight needs of children and families in Oregon.  Over the past two year, CASA has been identified as a priority in the Children's Agenda when it comes to legislative activity to promote improvements to better meet these needs.
